Various predictions regarding the end of life on earth aka doomsday alienated from psychic to scientists. This time, predictions regarding the end of life on earth once more in throw from the scientists, the famous British physicist, stephen hawking.

This was conveyed by Hawking through a video at the Tencent web Summit held in Peking. Hawking warned if the earth might be destroyed and other people solely have another 583 years to search out a new residence before eventually turning the earth into a hot ball and roasting its contents.

According to him, mankind must face rapid growth within the next few centuries. Hawking noted that the world's population doubled each 40 years. "In the year 2600, the earth's population will increase rapidly and excessive consumption of electricity will also make the earth very hot, and this can not be maintained," he said quoted by Geekwire on Tuesday (7/11/2017).

Hawking sees this as a factor which will force humans to quickly find new homes outside Earth. that is why he supports a project known as Breakthrough Starshot. one of the achievements is delivering a nano-sized spacecraft to alpha centauri (the closest star system of our solar system) in just 20 years.

"The idea behind the innovation is to have a light nano-powered vehicle," Hawking said. "Such a system allows us to reach Mars in less than an hour, or reach Pluto within days, passing voyager in less than a week and reaching alpha centauri in just 20 years," he added.

The alpha centauri system itself is 25 trillion miles or 4.37 light years from Earth. With the world's fastest spacecraft these days, it takes regarding 30,000 years to get there.

So, this Starshot breakthrough aims to determine whether the vehicle with a size of several grams can go a thousand times quicker. Earlier astronomers had expected a reasonable possibility regarding the existence of Earth-like planets within the alpha centauri star system.

But once again, despite having sent a vehicle to alpha centauri doesn't mean homework is over. sending humans out of the solar system or to Mars would need a bigger and more sophisticated spacecraft.

Will we have a tendency to be ready to meet Alien?
