Similar to the Devil, This is the Ants of Hell From Ancient times
Ant Hell's Fossil - |
Scientists describe a new kind of prehistoric ant named Linguamyrmex vladi or ant hell. These ants live in the Creative period or before the dinosaurs disappeared. The term for the ant actually represents its appearance.
Philip Barden, a researcher at the New Jersey Institute of Technology with his colleagues, explained that the ant's mouth looked up, like a ready-made sword. Meanwhile, his head has a hornlike organ and his lower jaw is long enough so that with his body, the appearance is like an elephant tusk.
"When it gets its prey, the lower jaw will be lifted up and clamped with hornlike organs on its head," Barden said. After further investigation with a CT scan or a computer scanner, the ant horns are made of iron and calcium.
"The possibility of metal or iron is to protect the horn so as not to be damaged quickly," said Vincent Perrichot a French biologist. Vignent has also been researching the existence of the ant and he called it, horned ants.
Barden also mentions another uniqueness of this hell ants dalah while prey on the victim. The ants suck fluid on insects called haemolymph, equivalent to blood in humans.
When the position of the jaw forward, there is a kind of "bloodsucking" funnel that leads directly to the mouth. With horns that have metal content, the ants are considered strong enough to pierce the prey.
The ants are found in an amber or tree resin that has been filling and trapping insects. Its location in Myanmar.
